Oh The Agony

Well we took a trip to Canada to visit family over our spring break. It was a lot of fun and we got to see family and relax. The only bad thing that happened while we were in Canada was the fact that my favorite hockey team basically got themselves eliminated from the playoffs in heart wrenching games. Not all was lost though. My dad, brother, wife and I experienced something that was quite amazing. In Canada hockey is so big that some of the games are now shown on Pay-Per-View. This was a dilemma at first for us because we wanted to watch the game. But we soon found out that we could watch the game at a local movie theater. The cost was $8.75 Canadian and it was an awesome experience. First and foremost everyone stood for the National Anthem and most people were singing. Then once the game was underway it was a room filled with nervous energy. When the Canucks would score it would erupt in excitement, and when they would be scored against, you would hear people curses under their breath. Even though the Canucks lost in overtime it was quite an adventure something I would love to do again.
Also another cool place we went to was the Capilano Suspension Bridge. This was a great time with family and really a great experience. Other than that, Sara read a lot and I played a lot of poker and video games with my brothers. Makes for a great trip up north.

Yeah the big screen was cool. We will have to see if one of these times we can see the real deal though.
