The Madness Has Arrived!

It seems every year around this time I go into a frenzied state over March Madness, it is a crazy time of year that brings me through a crazy roller coaster everynight(well Thursday through Sunday nights). I always fill out a ton of brackets hoping that this is the year for me and I always go through the heart break of seeing my bracket fall apart. I get so into March Madness that I find myself sometimes cheer against the team I picked just so I can see an exciting upset. This truly is madness. Yesterday was no different with the tournament starting and me wondering what I was smoking when I made some of my picks. Although a new addition to this years fun is what the NCAA and CBS have done with March Madness on Demand, which allows you to watch the games from your computer at work.(Like we need an excuse to sit at our computers and not work) I truly enjoy this addition because it makes it so I don't have to take a day of hear and there during this amazing time of year. My picks actually look good this year but I never want to be to optimistic. Well what ever you do during this time of year makes sure you make time for the best sporting event(ongoing) in the world. Hey Jimmie how far is Gonzaga going to go?

When it Rains it Pours

Well first off I would like to apologize for not writing in so long. I have had an extremely busy last couple of weeks. Basketball is over after our varsity team lost at Arco(where the Sacramento Kings Play)it was a great season, but I'm glad to have a "so called" life again. It has been raining like crazy here in California and that presents a problem for my wife and I because the house we live on is close to a flood zone. The creek actually runs behind our house. At new years we had a big scare with flooding and now it seems like any time it rains I become paranoid that it will flood my house, even though I look at it logically and I know it is very unlikely there is always something there deep down inside that worries about it.
Other than that life is good, teaching is going well and I'm looking forward to spring break when Sara and I will be traveling to Canada to see my family. Right now at school we are doing parent-teacher conferences and as most teachers know this is not the most exciting time in the world. I always wonder now why students have to come equipped with parents. It is not like when I was growing up when the teacher was always right and it was my fault. Now it is always the teachers fault. I guess that explains why the world is heading in the direction it is. Well enough about that. The World Baseball Classic is going on right now and I'm excited to see how Team Canada can do against the power houses of the world. It also gives us a glimpse into the baseball season which is a great time of the year for me. Well until next time.
